Hellenic Institute of Education and New Technologies started in 1995 as "PEDIA" group from a team of educators and students. Recently it has been developed into a Civil, non Profit Organisation with an Educational and Cultural character, focusing as well on matters concerning Youth. "Piraeus, Court of first Instance: number:1349/98, date:30-11-98"

It is Administered by the General Assembly which consists of Founding & Regular members and the Administrative Council. There is an Advisory Working Party consisting of about 40 Advisors and Special Advisors who are in charge of the respective sectors.
